MENTAL NOURISHMENT

List three books that have had an impact on you. Why?

All my life, I’ve never been the brightest but I’ve been smart enough to know that reading brings out the best in me. Many events have kept me lost and the only way I’ve found comfort is by drowning myself in a book. Moreover, from a tender age, good literature has always been the pillar of my strength. I’ll forever be grateful to my mum for making me see reading as a tool of comfort and above all a ladder to greatness.

At 13, I failed my first examination. It wasn’t my fault but it hurt terribly. I lost all confidence in myself and never said a word for days. In my distress, I remembered my mum had given this book to me as a gift and I tried to read it. To be honest, I had never felt so powerful in my life. This book changed my perspective of life. From then, I found reasons to be tough and rise above the worst failure.

Unalterably, the secret to building self esteem lies in reading the best literature there is. Erstwhile, I had not made many decisions but, reading this book was one of the best decisions. Confidence never felt this loud. At the end of the day, I grew from strength to strength and became a better version of myself. Without mincing words, this has been my manual in the last ten years.

The farther man wants to advance, the greater his mind should work. I never had to learn this the hard way. Furthermore, the greatest of things are found in papers and books and it never took long for me to know this; thank God. Napoleon made me see my mind as a tool for greatness. Everyday, I tell myself things that come to pass thanks to this wonderful piece of art. After coming in contact with this, I never failed to put my name to the test.

In sum, my greatest form of inspiration has been reading and studying the works of great people. Every time I read, I feel more powerful. Moreover, there’s a book we neglect that brings out the best in us and has been the inspiration of many others.

I urge YOU never to forget to open this manual. The truth about life lies therein. You can never be the wisest but you can be in a position to be safe wherever and whenever. The bible will give you insight more than any other literature. Make it a habit to read; there lies the greatest strength.

READ MY FRIENDS; READ!!!

    1. 😹😹 I don’t read all in a day but I can’t take more than two weeks to read a book. Two weeks because, I take down notes and all of that. If it’s just for leisure, a week is enough
