
That evening, I was so restless. I could not bring myself to imagine my fate if Agatha’s driver ever sold me out to the public. As smart as I was, I could not afford to take any chances by making him an ally.
The following day, I sort the services of a very renowned hitman and instructed him to run Agatha’s driver over. After I told him that, he said it was not a good idea. I then told him to do his job and get Agatha’s driver out of the way without traces.
Later that day, I got reliable information of his death; finally, the man was totally out of the way. I was super excited my secret was safe but that moment, my conscience pricked me even more.
It dawned on me that I was a murderer; a very ruthless one at that. Again, I silenced my conscience. I consoled myself by telling myself that there are many who kill yet are free.
By evening, Agatha’s lawyer came home. He told me he had been strictly instructed by Agatha to read her will before she is laid to rest. I was so surprised because all the while I knew wills were only read after the deceased had been buried. I gave him audience however.
As he sat to read the will, I asked him why he could not read the will in the presence of the staff as well and he said the will was meant for my ears alone; Here, I was scared.
